Not much more than ice cream and candy, but the kids love walking there for a summer treat.
A nice little store to have a coffee and ice cream. Also to buy some small grocery items. I find it a bit expensive though.
EXTREMELY POOR EXPERIENCERented 2 double kayaks as a 3rd time repeat customer. Made reservation day before and confirmed 11 am pickup time. Picked up the kayaks with all the gear at 11am through normal process of them providing key to unlock kayaks at the lake. Around 4:30-5:00 PM we locked up the kayaks and made our way to Anmore Grocery to return the key and gear. Merchant thanked us for our business, we thanked them in return and left the store. I noticed a missed call at 6:15 pm from Anmore Grocery, so I called them back to see why thy called. I was told that a red kayak was missing and that since we were the only party that rented that day we were responsible. A young male employee got on the phone rudely and said we stole the kayak. He said they have video of me talking the kayak and they are going to call the police. Of course I am angry with this and advised them I would call the police, which I did and police advised that unless they have video evidence or proof of us stealing or having possession of this kayak the business cannot legally go after me. I also called my credit card company to document a note on my account to be aware of any transactions from Anmore Grocery and that anything beyond the 2 kayak rental charges would be disputed. I advised Anmore Grocery of my communications with police and credit card company and they still rudely said that I am responsible for this missing/stolen kayak and they will contact police and call me back. I said go right ahead. Around 7:30 pm Anmore Grocery calls me to to apologize saying that they made a huge mistake and tried to compensate me by offering a free rental in the future. I replied, instead of offering me a free future rental that they reimburse me for the days charges and the young male said was unable to do so but would reimburse half the charges. The male employee asked me how I felt about that offer and I replied that that makes me halfway satisfied, I said a full refund would impress me as a customer and I might be a repeat customer again. The male employee then took a stand saying that he could only offer me a free future rental. I asked what happened to his offer of refunding half the rental and he said no he cannot do that. He said I am FORCING him to offer a refund which he cannot do. After a lengthy absurd long discussion with this employee I ended the call by hanging up. I cannot believe I was accused of stealing by this company and even after they acknowledged what a huge mistake the made,they still had this employee treat me rudely simply when I was trying to negotiate appropriate compensation for my grief and frustration. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They have a very poor system with managing the canoes/kayaks located at the lake. It is almost an honour system that renters are locking up all the kayaks correctly and the company is relying on customers to manage their gear at the lake. This company needs to re-evaluate how they rent and manage the rental/return process of their equipment, although I have no confidence that they will. They have definitely lost me as a customer with this experience
Not a bad place to walk by. The prices are actually good. They have delicious ice cream and homemade sandwiches at good price. The owners greet us with smile and tried help us carrying kayaks. They also emphasized us to wear safety jackets and explained us how to enjoy kayaking.
Rented kayaks. It was great!
